work space

  • Feb. 5th, 2008 at 1:28 AM
Hubby is thinking of converting my son's play area into a mini-office space to be used solely by me. He noticed that my computer table and chair is not ergonomical which explains my neck and back pains after late night blogging. He has been checking on some affordable home office furniture to be purchased online. He thought these office desks will be a good working table and study table when I start school in April. He also want to get some office storage for all our important documents and so I could organize them and label them one by one, it would be a lot easier for him to locate stuff everytime he needs it. I am really happy he thought of this as this would make my paperworks, scrapbooking and blogging so much more comfortable. It would also mean that my son won't be messing up with important documents and stuff while I work at home and when I busy myself with studying come April. These office and home furnitures he has been checking on are so far the best deals we found on the net. They are highly durable with an 8-year guarantee. I guess his search for some neat computer chair and table as well as documents storage cabinets is over.

insurance quote

I was talking to hubby's friend last weekend and he was telling me how badly he needed to have a new insurance quote for his car. He told me that there was a time while driving, he skidded and hit another car because of the terrible snow on the road. Too bad as his auto insurance is not as comprehensive, and so he has to cover some of the damage fees. I volunteered to help him out by searching some good and reliable insurance quotes he could apply and eventually avail online as he sounded so helpless from his recent car accident. So far, I found http://www.ez-insuranceportal.com/ to be very informative. Seems like they have the best insurance coverage for auto insurance and also for other insurance needs such as home, life and health insurances. All you need to do is log in your zip code and they will give you instant quotation. Isn't that great? You don't have to talk to a lot of insurance agents and discuss numbers and packages which are so hard to comprehend. Right now, hubby's friend has already gathered the quotation for his auto insurance. Hopefully he finds a better auto insurance for his beloved car.

whattaday!

I had a long busy day today. I could just imagine how life's gonna be once April sets in. My goodness, I think I would be missing OPPS and blogging so much. So it was a good decision not to buy my own domain, afterall, and just enjoy the URL my WIFESPEAKS family has blessed me. Anyhoo, I had been on the road the whole day and was running to and fro signing some important documents and speaking to a lot of people. I had fun eventhough I was so tired from Ethan being in tow! He was actually more popular in the university's admission office than it was me. I got a couple of good news today and was really excited about it. While talking to the admissions office people whom I find very very nice and accommodating, a Professor of Spanish decent but of course an American citizen with a filipina for a wife (which I found out later on) approached me and asked me if I wanted to avail some scholarship program! How cool is that. He was so happy to find out I worked for a diplomatic mission for 7 years and an environmental NGO for half of my college life. So he introduced me to this bunch of happy student affairs people who will help me find an affiliate institution/company who are willing to fund my education and give me allowances while I work or simply make researches for them. Ang saya di ba! Hulog ng langit! And later on I found out that I could avail of their online classes and would only require me to report once a week in school. Double happiness indeed! I really hope they find me some good institution or company I could work for while I study online so as to fill up my credentials for my UN or government dream career. I am not yet revealing the name of the school until April, just yet. But to give you a glimpse of my 2nd home, here are photos I snagged from google. I am one excited gal, really. New environment, new learnings, new future. Basta edukasyon walang talo haha.

post-pregnancy surgery

  • Feb. 5th, 2008 at 3:28 PM
I remembered reading an article in my Ob-gyn clinic during one of my post pregnancy check-ups. It was about labia reduction surgery. A lot of mothers are actually into this type of surgery after they give birth so as to minimize the effects childbirth can have on their bodies. I had a CS operation so I can't really relate. But I remembered one internationally renowned surgeon in Atlanta who specializes on this type of surgery. He has had successful clients from 46 states and 23 countries all over the world. Most of his clients were very much satisfied and they really give good reviews about him.

ethan's antics lately (part 1, edited)

  • Feb. 5th, 2008 at 5:52 PM
Before I forget to document all of Ethan's milestones as he turns 2years and 9months old, I am posting his picture as my reminder that I have to finish this entry after dinner. So later! be back. toodles.

So anyways here are some of his antics which I don't know if I'll be proud of or be afraid, he makes me laugh all the time, though:

***Ethan doesn't get much palo talaga not unless super grave ang kasalanan niya. So, one time, he was really being naughty and nasty, napalo ko sa pwet ng kamay, parang slightly malakas na tapik. He didn't cry or anything instead he went to phone and dialled some numbers and said this: "Hello cops, get mommy, palo Ethan SAKIT!" Oh no! Where did he get that?

***Another time, he was busy with his building blocks and I was starting to keep some of his kalat toys, then he said: "HEY, what you doing? Don't Mess up Mommy!". I think I need to seriously guard what he has been watching on TV.

***This is funny though, everytime his Baba goes home and gives him a hug, he would say this to him all the time, Walang kakupas kupas: "Baba, BAHO bath bath muna please" LOL!

more to come in part 2.
