organic mania

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 12:54 AM
My dad is so much into organic and herbal medicines and drinks. He gave me a list of things to buy so we can include it in the package we are sending them back home. He also asked me to check on this site: www.konakavafarm.com. He also wanted me to purchase some organic coffee! Whoa, how cool is that? It's the 1st time I heard of it. The maker of this organic coffee is the Konakava farm which is an organic-certified farm located on the fertile volcanic slopes of Kona's Hualalai Mountain in Hawaii. I tried ordering a few packs as the prices were really cheap. They shipped it the same day. I am including it in the package and I'm sure my dad's gonna be happy with it.

a surprise call and some deep short talk.

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 1:08 AM
I just got off the phone some few hours ago with Baters aka Farah. I received a surprise call from her, well it isn't really a surprise as she texted me earlier asking for my landline and I was expecting for her call right away. I was too excited to receive a call from my closest girlfriends back home. She was the 2nd caller since my stay here (the 1st one, was from the 3rd member of our so-called powerpuffies friendship triumvirate, Blusum aka Stelz, which left me as Babuls lol! corny namin noh?). Just a backgrounder, the 3 of us were really close when we were on our 4th grade and went on to highschool together (but with different barkadas) and then we went on different colleges/universities. We were reunited during our 1st few years of work, especially when Stelz got an assignment in Japan. And our friendship has never been better, it just becomes deeper and deeper.
On to the phonecall. I think the phone just half-rang when I pick it up. I was too excited. I was even telling her that she made me happy for the whole month of February LOL! OA!. But I honestly felt extremely happy having that phone conversation with her. Her effort was greatly appreciated. Eventhough, it was short, I cherished every minute of it. hay naku!

We talked about our good old friend in highschool (whom is very close to both of us) who just gave birth and whose baby has some serious congenital diseaseS. I feel for her really as everything else in her life seemed planned and stable but you'll never know when you will be thrown the other side of the coin. It both made me and Farah realize how blessed we are as our family members are as healthy especially in terms of our children. I remember this saying about parents having special children that these parents should feel blessed to have special kids as they are actually especially hand-picked or chosen by God as He trusts them that they can take care of these fragile and special children. I will say a prayer for her baby tonight before I hit the sack. I wish I could hug our friend but knowing her and her hubby, they both will surpass whatever they are facing right now.

Thanks for the call Bats, you made me smile bigtime, that until now is etched on my face. Blusum said she'll call me this week! I am loving these overseas calls!

Here's one of our last pics together. Us with our kids, I semi-hugged her and Ethan hugged her Lizzie.

credit card search engine

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 1:33 AM
Oh no! Hubby just reminded me to apply for a Credit Card. He hates it when I keep using his debit card especially when I do my unneccessary online shopping. Haha, he might have a hard time balancing the income versus my endless shopping sprees. So I am left with no choice but to get myself a credit card. I've been really allergic with this plastic cards as I am happy with using debit cards and liquid cash, but I think they are equally inevitable. While looking, I chanced upon CreditCardSearchEngine.com which is the longest online running site for credit card comparison. I have to be very careful with my choice of card that's why I badly needed this search engine. It allows me to compare, search and apply for credit card that suits my need. Of course, I will choose the one that gives the lowest interest rate and they have a comparison table in this site. What big help huh? Try it.

nothing else matters

Lately, I have been unable to blog during daytime or especially when Ethan is having his naptime. I was busy with other things when I'm not with Ethan, which explains my posting time at wee hours in the morning. I usually join hubby and Ethan to sleep and then get up the bed when both of them are asleep already so I could continue with blogging. When I'm done, usually around 3-4am, my back hurts, my head is spinning, all I need is good flat back and rest, but my boys chose not to give me this luxury sleeping position as they both want to cling to me when I'm back on bed. Sometimes, really uncomfortable but I could make tiis all the uncomforts because I feel so loved, both of them just love hugging me. When I close my eyes, I feel so lucky having these boys needing me more and more.

But lately, they have learned to cling on each other. Just look at this photo. Aaaaw!
I should not be getting up the bed when their arms are all over me.

avoid bankruptcy

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 1:50 AM
As we grow older, we begin to learn the value of money and thus proper money management scheme is developed. We all had our ups and downs in terms of our finances. I had mine. When I was so much younger, I was so carefree and doesn't care if I spend beyond my limits. But, I cannot be like that forever. I had debts unsettled as well as mismanaged credit cards. Good thing, I was able to recover from these deep hole early on and was back in my right finances goal when I got married. But if some of you is having a hard time recovering from debts bruhaha, you can always turn on a Debt Management Plan. We all need help sometimes and it is so much better, if we get the proper professional finance help. At ClearDebt, they don't offer loans, charge for financial advises or pass your private information to a 3rd party rather they will help you cut down your debts for more than half, freeze the interest you pay, give free debt service and stop creditors actions against you. If you really think you need that big help now, apply online before you get yourself caught in a deep debt hole.

his 3rd

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 1:59 AM
My son is turning 3 on May 1 this year. If we were back home, I might have already planned his 3rd birthday party as his past 2 birthday celebrations were planned bigtime. But this year, I guess it would be simple. My dream of celebrating his 3rd birthday in Disney World might be postponed for next year due to some change of schedule and some prioritizing to do. We might just have a simple family party in our future apartment and probably we might treat him for a Chuck E Cheese's playdate. But, if I was to plan his 3rd birthday party, probably the theme would be TRANSFORMERS.
He really is into this eversince he 1st watched the DVD. His day starts and ends with watching the Transformers DVD and his baba is collecting his transformers toys lately. Oh my goodness, he is becoming to be a real bigboy! He is now a certified graduate of Disney Cars, Incredibles and Spiderman. He loves Drake and Josh and also an avid fan of Ben10. tsk tsk. binatilyo na ang anak ko! You should see him do his action stunt, parang 10 years old na!

Here's reminiscing his past 2 birthday parties.

His F1-themed 1st birthday party at the Mahogany Place with Wanlu.

and his Disney Cars themed 2nd birthday party at his grandparents' house in Tahanan Village with Jollibee as his special guest.

debt collection

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 2:23 AM
Hubby's Aunt's business is a very-client-friendly one. Since, most of her clients are her clients since she started her business, she has very lenient terms of asking for payment from services they rendered. However, lately, some clients turn to be really abusive as Debt Collection can be taxing in the part of her collectors. Her designated collectors are resigning from their position as they find it really draining to fullfill their responsibility. Good thing though as hubby's Aunt learned about http://www.americanprofit.net, which is a 3rd party collecting agent. She realized that it is much cheaper to hire a 3rd party collection agency than hiring her own traditional collecting agents. With American Profit Recovert (APR), she has learned that there are actually more benefits of 3rd-party collections because of their flat, low-fee and they do not specifically choose what industry you are in. Any industry can work with them. So any industry is guaranteed of less time and money spent when you hire them. Hubby’s Aunt is just extremely happy with their services and thus they really are good in delivering their collecting output. She has now fully-managed the payment terms and more and more clients have developed their own terms of payment for the services they acquire.

poker chips

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 2:37 AM
Some of my friends back home are really poker games addicts. They would even have a weekly poker nights party! One time, I joined them and I saw how fun they could get when playing poker. They do really take care of their own set of poker chips. When they ran out of poker chips supply or their poker chips need some replacing to do, they order through this site: http://www.americangamingsupply.com. They said that American Gaming Supply has a wide range of poker chips from all kinds and denomination. They have the poker chips with denominations, without denominations, Nexgen Poker Chips, ProGen Chips, Paulson Poker Chips, Nevada Jacks, Ceramic chips and also they do some customization of poker chips with your own design! They can imprint your company logo, initials, dollar amounts and almost any design you want, name it! Their poker chips weight varies from 7 grams - 15 grams. And you could even purchase an aluminum case, cards and dealer button like the ones my friends have. During the said poker night party, I observe that a poker party host also need a decent poker table, supplies, chip sets etc... I asked the host where he got it, he said they were ordered online through Americangamingsupply.com.

that absinthe drink

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 2:49 AM
I was telling hubby on what I read about drinking absinthe and all he could say was, "isn't that banned here?". I answered "of course not!", he immediately replied by saying "we have to try drinking absinthe one of these days." Well I guess, I got all my absinthe knowledge from this site http://www.originalabsinthe.com/absinthe-spoon-p-36.html . Eversince, hubby's Uncle mentioned over our weekend dinner about how historical it is to drink absinthe. I've been hooked. I want to be fully knowledgeable about things I'm a bit ignorant so I surfed the net. Whoa! I was amazed by how this drink has been prepared and their way of drinking through an absinthe spoon is just totally awesome! First of all, you can’t actually drink absinthe straight or alone, you have to have an absinthe spoon to be used to drink it. Then prepare a cubed-sugar to be placed on your absinthe spoon then slowly pour the absinthe drink to the spoon with the sugar and some water. Then when you’re done, that’s the only time you could drink the absinthe. Yeah, it’s a bit of a work but that’s how it is. I guess we really have to try it to fully describe the taste of absinthe.

NY tours

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 3:06 AM
My friends who have been frequenting the big New York City always tell me that it is a must-travel city. Well, actually we were supposed to celebrate a few days during last year's holiday season there but there were conflict of schedule in the family so it was postponed. I was excited but I guess I have to wait for a bit before I set foot on the busy streets of New York City. For now, let me just indulge in some luxury surfing of must-see and what-to-do in NY through this site: http://www.citysightsny.com. They say one must not bring a car when you tour New York city as it is a busy city and therefore with a heavy traffic. Afterall, there are the New York City Tours were we as travellers could always avail at cheap cost. The New York City tourguides can well manage our trips and therefore maximize our travel plans and time. I really can’t wait for that day I plan my own New York trip. I love movies that have been shot on New York city and find the scenery awesome and very romantic. So for everyone else who are planning their NY trip, visit Citysightsny.com and get a lot of information.

trade show displays

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 12:32 PM
I have talked about my previous experiences on setting up Trade Show Displays, it is indeed a taxing job. When I used to work for an environmental NGO, setting up exhibits are just normal circumstances. But you have to take care of everything, from the logistics, operations and setting up. Sometimes I end up very tired and not enjoying my own trade show. I wish I found out about trade show display help site such as Godfreygroup.com. They provide assistance and has wide selection of trade show displays. From portable trade show displays, spacestation pop-up displays, show topper panel system, forum modular display system, fabric display structures, open beam & grid truss, standard truss designs, techform exhibits and table top displays. Name it, they have it. Or you if you can't choose from their display options, you can have your own unique display customized by them. My ex-colleagues were able to avail of their services and they were happy with the quality of service, the display as well as the price.

"toda" please mommy

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 1:11 PM
Okay okay, I know some of you will criticized this post LOL! But let me tell you that this doesn't happen all the time (defensive mode LOL!). And still, soda especially Coke is bad for kids even adults, but we indulge in that sweet caffeine drink from time to time! I really don't know why kids love them. My mom is such a kunsintidora, she let my son sip soda when he was 6 months old! Would you believe that? No matter how I stop her, grandparents has this way of spoiling their grandchildren, really. We do not stock Soda (or toda as Ethan would say it) at home. Because if we do, oh boy! My son's meal will always include 3 frikkin glasses of Soda/Toda!!! So he's very happy with juices and can finish 6 Hi-C tetrapack in a day. I'm happy with that. However, every once in a while we treat him with this sweet drink, a Coke! Especially when I am in "The Shop" with a lot of clients to attend to, I would give him a bottle of Coke to make him sit still. He really is a Toda Drinker but controlled.

Hala sige inom! Deadma ang tatay.

may papikit pikit pa yan ha!

busog!

and he will give you this sweet smile, sabay sabi, toda please mommy! last time promise!

all inclusive Cancun

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 2:46 PM
Me and hubby have always been beach lovers, we love soaking up and getting all the heat from the sun. We are in a high when we step on those sand, we just love the feel of sand in our feet. So just imagine our drastic adjustment when we got here, with the weather and all, we are terribly missing the beach. His friend has been telling us to join him in his Cancun trip on summer as his brother-in-law is from there. We might be able to join him as he promised to treat us in an All Inclusive Cancun getaway. We are looking at staying at the Karisma hotel. It is located at the secluded white-sand beaches on the Mexican Riviera Maya. It is known for it's Gourmet-inclusive concept, elite level of service, and luxurious accommodations. Isn't that great? I just can't wait for summer!

manage your debt

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 6:10 PM
A friend is seriously thinking of hiring some professional financial agent who can give her effective advices on Debt Management. She has been in debts for 5 years now. And because of her very minimal income, she needs to fix her finances as soon as possible before the interests rates of her credit card bills and loans get piled up. Her employer has advised her to check on AbacusFinance. Her employer peviously hired them and got out of the deep debt hole in a month's time. AbacusFinance is UK's leading and largest debt solution company, they have helped 1000 people already who are happy to spend a debt free life. They offer very objective advices on IVAs, Debt Management, Trust Deeds, Debt Consolidation Loans and how to get up from bankruptcy. You see, everyone of us at least once in our lives, had some bad experiences on handling our finances. But it is never too late to ask for help from a reliable and professional financial advisor rather than handling it on your own. At least, this 3rd party financial agents can give the proper and effective advises on how we can live the debt free life and avoid the stress that comes with having debts.

sectional garages

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 6:25 PM
My Aunt recently bought a new house in Las Vegas. It is not a new house so some renovations need to be done. One of which is the Garages, she has 2. One in the front and at the backyard. She's thinking of converting the backyard garage into a pool and the front garage into a bigger garage. She'll probably get it from Lidget Concrete garages. They have been doing her client's garages for years now. My Aunt is a Real Estate Broker/Agent by the way. These Lidget Concrete Garages is renowned throughout the garage industry. They a reputation for delivering quality garages and 100% customer satisfaction. They have all the choices of concret garages, from building garages for buildings to state-of-the-art concrete garages in both houses and industries. There is just something for everyone, a single, double, high roof garage, garden building and specialist structure. Not to mention, that their prices are very affordable. My Aunt just can't wait to have the Concrete Workshop construction started. She's having a party in her new house and she needs everything to be in order. Here's sharing some construction information I got from my Aunt who is a well known Real Estate Agent in Las Vegas.

ANTM Cycle 10 winners revealed!

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 6:35 PM
I was sooo excited watching the premiere and even my son was watching with me and he kept saying the whole time "mommy, wow girls wow girls!". I was a bit disappointed at first because it was full of catfights and screaming girls! Not to mention that I find the school-theme-set-up a bit Hogwarts-imitation corny lol! But then again, as the show ended, the girls personalities get more interesting. I already have my top 3: I am booting for The girl who undergone circumsion in Somalia, the girl who graduated from an Ivy League school and a girl with the prettiest face! Let's see if I change my mind.

Here they are the ANTM Cycle 10 Winners! and oh yes, make-up does a lot of wonders! Ahem!

magic loans

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 6:45 PM
The first time I heard of Homeowner Loan from a friend, what comes in my mind is housing loans. But it is not actually. These Magic Homeowner loans are actually fast, Secured Loan you avail in order to consolidate your debts. She has applied for this and as she needed to consolidate her debts as soon as possible. You see, one must think carefully before securing other debts and making your home the equity as this is very crucial. Your house can be repossessed if you are not able to keep up the repayments scheme planned for you. Either or, we must all be vigilant when acquiring loans and balancing our checks. If you think you badly needed a homeowner loan like my friend, you can try it and apply online, no obligations required. If you have equity on your home, start by filling up the forms and requesting a callback.
