poker nights

  • Mar. 6th, 2008 at 9:44 AM
Some of my friends are into playing odds poker and strategy poker. They even have poker nights once a week, I really don't understand all this online poker strategy until I joined them in one of their poker nights. Oh boy! It was a blast. Some were really serious playing and competing at the same time and others were just there for fun. I guess you and your friends should try it sometimes.

own that GPS now

Having a GPS or Global Positioning System Device here in America in at least one of your cars is very important. It helps you get around and if you want to make that interstate trips, you don't need any maps. With GPS handy in your car, you are assured that you will never get lost and be relieved of the stress of looking in some remote pages of a map during your family trips. Lately, hubby was able to convince his Uncle in getting one of those most coveted Garmin brand GPS. He always gets lost and really has a very poor sense of direction. He might be getting one next week through this online store which has good reviews: http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/cust_reviews__mid--28170.html. This Uncle of ours is a major fan of online shopping, he hates lining up or choosing items most especially gadgets in a store. Most of his stuff were bought from Compuplus. This company has a good reputation as they have been selling online since 1993 with over 2 million satisfied clients served. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee and most of their products offer a 100% customer satisfaction because they have trained customer representatives who check out items before shipping. I am sure our Uncle is so excited to order his next gadget next week.

blockbuster nights

Eversince I got married to my DVD addict hubby, I also turned into one. Either we spend our weekends catching up on DVDs or during late night weekdays, finishing some DVD series. Most of these blockbuster DVDs we borrow from hubby's relatives or we buy them from the cheapest blockbuster stores nearby. No matter how it is much cheaper to rent than buy, we still opt for the latter so we could also make the DVDs part of our collection especially if it is one good film.

Due to the lack of newer films in the nearest DVD stores, we sometimes watch online movies. There are also websites where we can rent DVDs online. One of these websites include: http://www.rent-blockbuster.com/, you can choose to rent online anytime of the day. All you need to do is be a member and this memebership gives you the convenience of renting movies online and the choice of how you return them. Either by mail or bringing them to  a participating Blockbuster Store. It is very convenient as you will receive the rented DVD right in your mailbox, that saves you the hassle and the gas. You might wanna try it.

NY fashion schools

I bet my friend, Val will love this entry. Hahah! She has been one of my fashionista friends but you know in a subtle and very elegant way. Her taste of fashion is very unique, in fact if she sees someone wearing some shirts she has also, you would not see her wearing that again. She has been a great follower of Project Runway Series shows and had a photograph in a fashion school in new york when she visited the US last year. I am 100% sure that if she has the chance, she would enroll herself in a new york fashion school. Since, I am a professional make-up artist, I have been exposed to fashion people and some of them got their degrees from fashion schools in new york. They said New York offers the best schools in terms of fashion. As we all know, Paris and New York has been always at the top of fashion styles and trends. I know getting a degree in fashion is a bit expensive but with the proper search and initiative you can land in a prestigious yet reasonably rated school. So, to my friend Val, it's not yet too late, maybe after nursing, next in line would be a fashion degree so you could be the stylist you've always dreamed of.
