never again

  • Mar. 21st, 2008 at 2:10 AM
I have had my own share of handling credit cards in a not so financial-friendly way. Those were my younger years when I thought my credit card balances are mine and not loaned from the bank. I swiped and swiped, shopped till I dropped till I reached my credit card's maximum limit, only to find out that I have no means of funding or paying it. Tada! My finances were in shambles. It is good though, I was able to recover from credit cards misuse and financialy woes at once. Thanks to NON-STOP advices from my folks and my siblings who are so critical when it comes to money spending and saving. I have more than 5 credit cards at that time, I think. So when I got married, I only bring credit cards when I need them. Hubby and I also manage to live with 2 credit cards only and we were too decisive to choose which credit card companies to apply. Of course, choosing the least interest rates were in our top deciding factors. We, me specifically, are so careful now in terms of usage of our credit cards and we make sure we pay them at once so interests won't pile up. I learned my lesson the hard way but I had no regrets as these lessons made me wise in terms of my financial status now.

not the right time, kiddo!

Oh no! My female teenager cousin is doing it again! I pity my Aunt tsk tsk. I received these phonecalls from my Aunt this afternoon, she had to call me twice! That is how devasted she was at my 15-year-old cousin. She is having irresponsible relationships with the opposite sex and my Aunt does not know what to do anymore. On top of this problem, she is also having some financial difficulties which include paying her mortgage. She is a single mom you know and raising my cousin was not an easy path for her. Currently, she is thinking of getting a 2nd job but what worries her is that if she gets another job, this would mean lesser time at home and lesser time to guard her daughter. She is torn at the moment whether to focus on her financial obligations or her obligations as a mother. I don't know what advice to give her, because either way she is at the losing end. I really pity her, she has this recurring problem with her daughter since the 1st time this cousin of mine had a boyfriend. I was trying to give my cousin some unsolicited advices before, thinking she would listen to it, but I guess I was talking to a teenager with raging hormones and shut-ears. How I wish I was beside this Aunt of mine to give her all the hugs she needs at the moment.

cash advance

I remembered when I used to be employed, most of my officemates resort to payday cash advance. Eventhough we had a reasonably high rate salary and tax free income, my officemates who have more than 3 children were running out of cash before the next payday. Blame it on our economy, the rising prices of gas and commodities too. Good thing as this Easy Online Payday Loan are quickly accessible in the internet. They can avail of it anytime of emergency. It is fast and simple, all they need to do was fill out the form and pronto, an answer to their needs. All that is required of you is that you should be at least 18 years of age, has a regular source of income and a bank account where they will make the deposit of your approved amount. I myself was tempted to apply for one when I was having problems with paying my credit cards, blame it on my endless shopping lol. You see, raising a big family nowadays is really challenging. It is hard to budget your income eventhough both of the parents are working. But, as my mother would always tell me that proper budgetting starts with not spending beyond your limits and setting aside at least 10% of your income, for rainy days, as soon as you receive those paychecks.

welcome sunshine!

As I have mentioned in THIS ENTRY, springtime is slowly setting in. Although, they marked March 21 of this year as the 1st full day of spring, March 20 is when Equinox happened or the day when the rays of the sun changed it's direction at the equator. Time flies so fast, I've arrived here in Autumn, then spent my 1st white Christmas and now it's Spring! A few more months and I'd be celebrating my 1st year here. The changing of seasons has been teaching me a lot of things as well, not to fret (i am the biggest worrier you'll ever meet LOL!) on small nor big things as they will pass quickly with answers you've been waiting for just like the 4 seasons we have here.

So far, I am loving spring here. I can finally take out my sandals and havis and those flowy short dresses I have kept for 2 seasons that past. On the other hand. Hubby and I have already kept those thick winter jackets and trenchs! But most of all, Ethan is the happiest with this change of season. He has been spending time under the sun, lying on the grass, smelling the flowers, catching the butterflies and giving me every flower he sees blossoming infront of him. I am REALLY loving our new life here. Sometimes, I am teary-eyed with so much happiness whenever I see my boys laughing their hearts out over some game they just played. It's just my 5th month here and so far, this new place is my HOME, I proclaim from this day on. No homesickness to date. I am loving this completeness feeling I have. Have a fun spring to everyone especially to the east coasters who have spent sooo much time indoors during the winter!

2 down.

Hubby and I declared April to be a hell month for us LOL! We are literally faced with a lot of responsibilities and decision-making here and there. But so far we are taking it with the lightest stride and the breeziest breeze of all. We have been good with pressure and stress already. We are a team at that. One thing that is on our top list is checking the best auto insurance quotes we can find. We already negotiated with "someone" about a car he intends to buy for my usage. I am both excited and scared about this hahaha! He is pressuring me to be ready to be behind the wheels for at least 2 hours in my everyday life. Anyways, going back to auto insurance quotes, it was easy finding a site that gives the best reviews of car insurance rates portal. Carinsurancerates.com has been helping consumers by informing them of what to consider in getting one, the best tips they could give and consolidated reports of car insurance quotes in less than 5 minutes. We already have a car insurance provider in mind, all we need to do is meet their agent and decide from there. At least this one, I could tick off from our lengthy to-do-list. Yes, definitely, 2 down! The car and the insurance.

group 'em to win 'em

My brother in California gave me a free subscription of WallStreet Journal. Hubby and I manage to read them during breakfast or nightime when Ethan is asleep already. We try to squeeze this newspaper reading the best way we could. After all we are staying here longer and we have to learn about the nation's economy, business and as well as some other good stuff in it. I have learned about credit scoring and financial management in their finance section. Credit standing or credit scoring here should be guarded well because this describes where you are with regards to your financial status. Hubby and I have been very careful in terms of our finances lately, we are getting to be the matured adults on this part. In this nation were credit cards and lots of good shopping stuff are just within your reach, consumers tend to spend more than they could. Most of them have been piled up with debts and when it gets from bad to worst, they resort to online debt consolidation. Thanks to this refinancing system as when you consolidate your debts, you have a chance to improve your credit scores as well. You see, you can still get a lot of information from reading the newspaper over watching news in the TV.

happy for a friend

Yey, finally a friend of mine has decided to study her passion. It has been a year that she was choosing from her list of fashion schools in california and fashion schools in los angeles. I have worked with her in various shoots as our shoots stylist. I must say she really is good on it. So when she emailed me awhile ago, announcing that she is taking up a fashion course at this specific fashion school in california, I share with her excitement and happiness. This goes out to you Princess.

a new "pampahele"

  • Mar. 21st, 2008 at 4:27 PM

Ethan has been drinking milk from the glass lately, he really is getting to be one matured toddler. This also means that his usual "pampatulog" milk bottles are now neatly kept together with all his other baby stuff. However, I am so tempted to give the bottle again as he found a new pampatulog/pampahele habit, that of caressing my closed eyes or sometimes he would put some of my hair on top of my eyes and then caress them for 30minutes to an hour till he falls asleep. Because of this, I have been growing some unusual small bumps on the side of my forehead, my skin must be irritated with my own hair. At 1st I like it but lately, it's disturbing heheh. Titan finds it funny though, kainis! I remembered when I was like his age till around 8 years old, I used to tweak my dad's earlobes and sometimes his nipples (oh yes, you read it right heheh), pampatulog ko din. Now, this is what you call a sweet karma tsk tsk!!!

here's comes my favorite topic

You know why I've learned to love writing about pay day loan and personal cash advances? It's because, I have helped a lot of my friends and family members just by them reading about it in my blogs or when someone approaches me asking if I could lend them some money (which we do not have extras at the moment), I asked them to turn to those personal cash advances or payday loans that are quickly accessible in the internet. This payday loans and cash advances are there for people who are short on cash, caught between paychecks or some emergency funds needed for emergency needs. It is by far the fastest way to obtain unsecured, short term cash advances until your next payday. Most of them only requires you to be 18 years of age, has a steady income and has a bank account where they could deposit your loaned amount. But like I always tell my friends, make sure to check everything, the rates etc... before grabbing one and also make sure to pay it at once so you'd not be caught off guard with a pile of interest rates. So the next financial emergency you have, you know where to turn to.

rare type

I had an officemate who had a bad case of psoriasis. It was worst really. I pity her because every so often, she has to go to the washroom and remove the scaled skin off. It was that serious. But the last time I heard about her, her skin was back to normal after undergoing a psoriasis treatment. I am happy for her because to be honest, she has one of the prettiest faces I know but you can't just seemed to notice it at 1st because of her rare skin condition.

1 hr massage please.

One thing that I badly miss back home is my weekly 1-hour home service massage! Or sometimes I go over 3x a week! It is so addictive that it became a bonding moment for my mom and my dico. I love those home service masseuses because they really know what they do, after all their rigid trainings from massage therapy schools, they really are so good! I can't wait to get one when I go home for a visit.
