Mother's day is nearing. During this day, I make sure that I never fail to greet my mom and the other moms in my life. It is the day that we honor the most special person in our lives, our Mom. Eversince, I became a mother, mother's day became extra special especially since this is just a few days apart from my son's birthday. For this year, I won't be spending mother's day with my mom and this is the 1st time it will ever happened. I can't help but feel melancholic and sad. I miss her badly especially when I'm stressed with the demands of our new life here, I just want to smell her skin and cuddle with her in the bed, I do that everytime. I am thinking of sending her some mother's day flower which I could order online from this site: http://www.1800flowers.com/mothers-day-flowers-and-gifts. She loves flowers as much as I do. I remember when I was younger she often dreamed of having a flowershop as an extra business. She'll be the best flower arranger. I really really miss her badly. I have to end this entry before I soak up my laptop with tears. For now, I just have to wait for the day that she'd come visit us.

our ETHAN turns 3! (part1 of 4)

Today is our sunshine's 3rd birthday. I was planning to write him a letter and post it here but God knows I tried to squeeze that in my busy sched and school papers due today, it's just that I have to choose between writing him a letter or surprising him with some colorful muffins. I chose the latter as obviously he would appreciate the muffins more than the letter now. I was worried that my son won't have a blast on his 3rd birthday. Considering that on his 1st Birthday and 2nd Birthday, he had big celebrations filled with many kids and loving family. But then, we have a new life here. As expected, it will be a quiet one. However, it is also this year that he had an inkling of what a birthday is, so I wanted it to be extra special. Hubby and I originally planned to cook for the whole clan but for some unforseen circumstance, we forego with that plan. Also, on this day I have a class till 10pm and it is impossible for me to celebrate his birthday today. We decided to have our family celebration last tuesday (part 2 of this entry). Busy people, we truly are!

And so I thought his 3rd birthday will be a quiet one, I was wrong. It turned out to be a weeklong celebration. Some few days ago, gifts, shopping money and birthday cards have been pouring in specifically coming from his uncle ninong wowie, ii jing and ninang chingkee! Thank you so much, you don't know how much you made Ethan very happy. The entire time, he keeps telling me that he wants to see all of you again. Here's some pictures to share.
