weekend snapshotS #9 -a heartmelting story

  • Apr. 28th, 2008 at 7:10 AM
This weekend snapshot was taken last Sunday when hubby and Ethan were resting under the tree after their tiring football game.

Sometimes, homesickness is still making me sad and all. I miss my family soooo badly...and my friends terribly! Anyways, Ethan never ceases to amaze us. He's getting more matured everyday so even with some tantrums on the side, who wouldn't enjoy his company. Last friday, after a tiring day from work, hubby was a little bit grumpy. He went straight to the dining table and had his dinner while I entertained him with stories. On the other hand, I can see Ethan getting a big glass from the dishwasher (to begin with, that is not his glass, but I just observed and did not scold him), then he took some ice and water from the fridge water dispenser and went straight to the dining table and gave the water to his baba while saying this: "Tired Baba, water from Ethan, Love you!". Oh my goodness, nagkatinginan na lang kami ni Titan! He really is a 2.11 months old sweet, adorable boy! I remembered when he was barely 1 year old, he would get his baba's slippers when he gets home. That made our weekend!

How was everybody's weekend? Mine was boring but busy save for some antics this little boy has been entertaining us. He keeps on surprising me and hubby on the many expressions he has been saying lately such as: "AWESOME!", "THERE YOU GO! DIEGO!" and "THAT's SWEET!". One time, while he was watching Ben10 Alien Force, I gave him a pack of PopTart for merienda and he said: "Wow, Cool Mom, Thanks!", cool ka dyan heheh. My weekend snapshots are photos of him with his poptart tattoo which he has been wearing for a week now, he is wearing a sando these days with a week of 80s-90s fahrenheit, naykupo and hinet! And yes, he hasn't gotten his haircut yet, (as to why? will blog about that later). Today, I was trying to make a ponytail out of his front hair as he was getting sweaty and all then he stopped me and said: "Mommy, Ethan is a boy, that is for girls", at least he's not confused with his gender hahaha! For the record, hubby's biggest worry is for him to be gay, which I don't really mind at all LOL!

I changed my blog's layout, did you notice? Do you like it? I just got tired spreading some purple love and decided to spread sunshine-y disposition here in this particular blog hee.

Anyways, I am loving Spring! Flowers are everywhere. Here is my 7th edition of weekend snapshot, I didn't notice that I have been a member of Weekend Snapshot this long and yet I have not been an official member. I did not follow the instruction very well and so I am not listed as their members LOL! So this 7th edition are photos of our very old-fashioned mailbox with colorful flowers which Ethan has been murdering everytime he sees them. Hubby on the other hand has been arguing with me that these are tulips, tulips nga ba ang mga ito? Hope you had a good weekend, mine was busy as always.

weekend snapshotS #6

My son has been an avid fan of anything-with-wheels eversince 6 months old. This explains why all of his birthday celebrations were themed with F1 and Disney Cars. If you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he will give you 3 similar answers and an odd one: A Taxi Driver, A Firefighter, A Racer and A Doctor. At 2.11 months, you'd be surprised with his fascination with racing cars and any movie with that plot. He takes our racing very seriously and doesn't want me and his baba to smile or laugh when he counts 1,2,3 get set go! Last Sunday, Hubby and I were laughing our hearts out as he was too serious to the point na pikon na siya sa kakatawa namin LOL! Look at those eyes beaming with competition and a naughty toungue out when he beats his baba's Disney Cars Mater! What a joy to see him so serious on something he's passionate about at this very early stage in his life.

I KNOW, HE BADLY NEEDS A HAIRCUT!

This is a usual scenery of my son when he needs to be on his own and would want to rest from his joyful day. Finally, I was able to capture it last weekend.

His favorite resting spot. He's just like me and his baba, we all love to watch the birds fly, see the trees move as the wind blows them and listen to ducks as they quack and wade in the lake.

This is his shy smile when he caught you looking at him.

Then, he would give you a full smile, that's your queue to take snapshots.

in circles (weekend snapshotS #4)

  • Mar. 26th, 2008 at 1:03 AM
You know what they say about living here? "hinahabol parati ang oras sa Amerika!" I don't believe that famous quote until this week. Oh my goodness, hubby and I have been running in circles. We have started ticking off some numbers in our long TO DO LIST. Errands, Errands. Decisions decisions every single day. And for the 1st time in many months, I miss my son's yaya chona. Imagine a son throwing a huge tantrums in a bank? I couldn't blame him because the bank are not for kids and the banker was just so slow attending to his parents. "Dyosko po! Ke hirap ng walang mapagiwanan sa bata while you attend to some important things." As for my school updates, I was supposed to take up only 1 subject this spring classes but I was required to take 2! But no complains, really. Ika nga ni Tin, think long-term! We are Tin, that's keeping us strong. Kung kaya nila, kaya natin hehe!

So anyways, that's the reason why I bombarded you with opps and not so much of personal updates. Really busy. Opps are priorities. Bloghopping will have to wait. My Apologies. Kung pwede lang hatiin ang katawan, naku matagal ng maraming em at maraming titan hahaha! Here's something to compensate my lack of updates. Titan and I thought that our Easter day was a premonition of the busy weeks ahead of us. We had a good family moment. Not thinking that the coming weekends even Sundays, will be working days for us both at the homefront and the unhomefront.

I began the Easter by baking my own version of SUPER chocolate mallows overload, I was supposed to bring it to Ethan's Sunday school classmates but before we even got out of the house, nabawasan na ng isang slice! Sinong salarin? Walang umaamin.

Then we went off to church. Ethan was as usual sitting behavely on his seat. My son really loves going to church, he is most behaved when he is attending mass. If you know my son, you would know why I am so proud of him acting really behaved on church masses. My friends and family can attest to how likot, restless, dennis the menace copycat, pilyo, daldal, he can, but not in church. He just knows that the church is a special place. Then after that, we let Ethan play on the school playground and had a picnic lunch. It was really an easy breezy day, we were able to unwind. After the long day, we went home and finished packing the winter clothes as well as some things we needed to box for the apartment move. Then we had dinner with the clan. As usual, sira ang diet heheh. Here's some of the pictures on the Easter that was. I hope you all had a good one!

weekend snapshot #3

  • Mar. 17th, 2008 at 9:42 AM
Last Sunday, hubby and I woke up at 11am. Very unusual for us, as our Sundays usually start early by strolling to the park/playground or hubby playing baseball/or soccer with Ethan at the backyard. The reason for waking up late was that we got so puyat and tired from looking at a gazillion of apartments online for almost 7 hours! Usually, Ethan would wake us up by shouting a very loud: "GOOD MORNING! HERE COMES SUNSHINE!" and he would open up the blinds in the bedroom, the bright sun is definitely an effective wake up alarm for us. Last Sunday was different, we woke up with this, my weekend snapshot.
He was already playing silently with his building blocks and told us that the big house he made was the house of mamy tata (my mom) in the Philippines or "pipins" for him. We asked him what the lined small blocks were, he gladly answered: "that's baba's patment (apartment) and mommy's blog". LOL! (all he ever hears from us the past days are these 2 words: apartment and blog!)

Last Saturday, Ethan was misbehaving so badly that I had to give him a time out and a little cold treatment. But he insisted on doing "the time out" on the bed and eventually fell on a quick slumber. My goodness, this angel wannabe is really annoyingly sweet sometimes! Pano mo naman matiis itong mukhang mala-anghel na ito! Look at those long lashes, rosy cheeks and lips! I am so madly in love with my son, mahirap idisiplina ang ganito ka cute na bata hahahah!

To begin here are my firsts. I will try to post worthy photos.
