These are the events and discoveries I keep forgetting to blog which happened in between August and September. I must warn you though, that this entry would be picture-heavy, I meant one of the picture-heavy entries (LOL!) and long.
Home Sweet Tahanan
From all the villages(read: Loyola Heights, Xavierville, Bf Homes Paranaque) my family lived in, my favorite is our current place, Tahanan Village. Oh Yes! This is where the mayor resides, were the ex-mayor used to live with her lovelyNESS and were the ex-mayor Anjo currently lives too (we attend sunday masses at the same time, ang gwapo niya i swear!). Titan and I made a promise that if ever we want to build a house here in Manila, it would DEFINITELY be in this village.
This is where I learned (& love) to attend mass every single day. I love the choir; the churchgoers, the priests and the lay ministers are just sooo welcoming. The community is just sooo friendly and very approachable. I especially love the HUGE park and we're lucky to be just a few steps away from it. It has become Ethan's official afternap tambayan with his yaya. That's were he met his 1st bestfriend and playgroup. The whole park has a gigantic adult pool, children's pool, tennis court, basketball court, football field, activity center, church, airconditioned prayer room, playground and neighbors with big smiles and endless HIs and HELLOs! They have both adults and kids sportsfest held every so often, bazaars that can compete with the Cuenca bazaars in Ayala Alabang and very very tight security. You just know where your association dues go. And and it's filled with trees and greens. I just lavet!
Last Saturday/September 08, Ethan and his yaya attended the ribboncutting/opening of the new toddler's playground. Yaya said there were plenty of kids and Ethan had a blast socializing with his cutee tahanan villagers-neighbors as they munch on hotdogs, spaghetti, pancit and cake. It's all for FREE! I missed the event but took some photos for blogging's sake, when I strolled with yaya and Ethan in the afternoon. Take a peek:

PAN DE AMERICANO
Sorry tita rosie if I mispelled the name of your resto and if I assumed that the name of the bakery is the name of your resto hee!
On my dad's birthday last August 27, we did something different from the usual Outback luncheon bash. We went to visit my cousins at rancho estate in Marikina then spent our lunch at the newly opened restaurant of our family friend, tita rosie. It's a cozy place in Marikina. I wasn't surprised with the architectural structure of the place because they came from a family with construction businesses. Jing Castaneda of ABS CBN was even there at that time to shoot the place. It was a sweet discovery. Now, I know why my mom keep bugging us to eat there despite the distance from where we live. The price is really reasonable, food is great. You should try they're pugon-made-pandesal! And I thought this kind of restaurants only exists in Bacolod! The ambience adds to the great great food! Sorry the photos don't give justice, I have Ethan in tow with no yaya at that time.

Most Awaited
Last but not the least, my most awaited baby arrived last September 12, 2007 in Singapore. Introducing the most adorable and handsome baby, ENZO JOAQUIM DAVID-PETRACHE weighing 3.3 kg and 50 cm long at birth. I was very happy to received the SMS from norman and can't wait to call stelz, but as a mother, I should know that she needs to rest after a 6-hour labor. We chatted the next day and discovered that it was indeed an induced birth due to elevation in her blood pressure. They chose Sept 12 because September is Stelz's birth month and 12 is Norman's birthdate, well thought of huh. Again, my congratulations to these 2 crazy new parents and Stelz, don't ever give up on breastfeeding alright. Enjoy the roller coaster ride of parenthood and I just can't wait for December 2008 !!! I love you petraches! Kisses to lil Enzo boy.

MAJOR was the expression that model, Carol and I discovered during last monday's shoot. We kept saying "This make-up is major, ibang level na ito!" ~~~talking about the avant garde-psychedelic-fleur make-up I made on her which took me almost about 3 hours to finish.
I have been referring clients to my make-up artist cousin-in-law, Ribbon and friend, Harold, since I can no longer commit myself on weddings and debuts for next year because of the move. In one of my conversations with Ribbon, she asked me how in the hell I got into make-up and why pursue this path and not the culinary and baking per se, since I grew up helping out in my mom's bakeshop and catering business. I asked myself too, why? Maybe, I witnessed how exhausted my mom was and how she just wanted to rest in most special holidays because the bulk of orders are bigger at those times. Although, lately, I find myself experimenting different soups, sandwiches and pastas. I've been considering on enrolling in Heny Sison's 1 day workshop on Waffles, Puffs and Crepes. Or maybe her workshops on different muffins as I've been wanting to beat those SONJA's cupcakes LOL! Grabe these cupcakes sobrang phenomenal!
Hay. But you know what, I'm happy I have make-up for an outlet. I love how photoshoots and make-up bring me to a different world. Once I hold my magic brushes, I'm lost in my own little world!!! This is my real passion which I would never ever let anyone take it away from me.

I just got up from sleep after yesterday's 11-hour photoshoot, we started at 2pm and ended at 1am! I did the hair&make-up of 3 models with 4 layouts each. I'm not soo good with morena beauties and I can say that beauty make-up is my forte, but this shoot was such a breeze of fresh air.
While I was waiting for the driver to pick me up, my little Ethan was tinkering with my make-up traincase and started blabbering: "coror bu, coror white, coror red, coror yeyow, coror green, coror owange" hahahah!!! He got me inspired.

6 WEIRD FACTS
I got tagged by my friend, Irma.I enjoyed reading her entry and discovered new things about her. I share her Weird Fact #4. We're both OC. As I will quote her, "It may not be a surprise to reveal that if we liked a certain item (whether it be shoes, clothes, knick knacks, etc) we buy it in different colors. We have several pairs of flip flops. Too many shirts of the same style in different colors." My current expensive obsessions are Crocs, Havaianas, Lacoste Classic Shirts and Hollister Tees.
Now let's begin. The game goes like this. Each player of this game starts with 6 weird things about you. Weird Fact #1: My fingers are always on the move, may it be typing, crafting, scrapbooking, cooking or baking, applying foundation or even pulling my hair LOL. It only stops moving when I'm asleep. Same goes with my mouth, i love munching and munching almost anything, if my mouth ain't munching, it's talking.
Weird Fact #2: I could stay awake for straight 36 hours (which I already did!) infront of the computer, doing senseless internet surfing.
Weird Fact #3: I am a photo-obsessed creature. I have millions of them. Every event in my life and now my hubby's and son's life, need to be captured. I consider these photos my treasures that is why I copied/burned (or whatever you may call it) each photo in a CD, DVD, External HDD, 2 Internal HDDs and uploaded them in paid photosites. Praning indeed!
Weird Fact #4: I'm a sick-o OC kinda gurl. Aside from buying things in different colors and being addicted to certain stuff, I can't sleep without fixing my shoes, cleaning the room, arranging ethan's cars according to sizes and my moolah bills according to denomination. (hindi naman serial numbers OA na yun!)
Weird Fact #5: Even now that I am married and a mother, I have always loved ME times. I love being alone, I totally do. If you think i'm an extrovert and loves being with people, you definitely do not know me yet.
Weird Fact #6: Ihate do not enjoy putting make-up on popular girls, models and celebrities. I love putting make-up on real women for real events. I don't even want to be a known make-up artist, I just want to share with real women the power of make-up.

TODAY.
all my other seatmates in the unit are out. one has call in sick. 2 were doing their motherly duties as today is the official 1st school day. titan said his goodbye again and will come back next week. ethan waves goodbye perfectly with matching tears falling down his cheeks. he understood that mama has to go to work but, he's also sad that he'd miss mama for the whole day.
i realized that i come to work only for these people. and they're the only essential factor why i still sit here in in this cubicle, staring at this monitor and opening piles and piles of immigration cases! i am sooo bored! i miss them, i miss my old life. i hate being an adult.
maybe only for today... maybe not.
THE GEMINIS.
They're stubborn, they have split personality, they're impatient and restless but, the most adorable, lively, eloquent and ms. congeniality zodiac sign ever! Happy Happy birthday to my most artistic and very comical friends, harold (june9) and val (june10). We surprised them with a small gathering of their closest colleagues, individual polly's chocolate cake , bouquet of gerberas and posters of Hugh Jackman & Brad Pitt(they're fantasy boyfriends) heee!!! And after the party, we watched X-Men: The Last Stand, i can watch it over and over again! ASTIG grabe!

(independence day long weekend)
I knew i wasn't gonna dive yet. It was an adventure though, we went there with no reservation and a 1yr old boy in the backseat.
We drove and drove and drove, there were lots and lots of rough road! We ended up here, The Maharlika Beach Resort. It was not yet fully developed, pool had no tiles and water, rate was A-ok, there was a shortage in the power for an hour(and their generator wasn't working too! the staff were apologetic and offered as a discount), their AC in the room was quite small so it wasn't enough to make the room cold, local ants ate ethan's sweets, but, over-all service was really really good! Once this resort is done, this will be a big hit to the scubadivers!
We were the only guests at that time and we were given special treatment. We felt like we owned it heee! They didn't charge us with corkage as we had barbeque over dinner.
The next day, my dico and titan went to another island for their intro dive. Me, my parents and ethan were left in the resort. We had a big rest! I played with bored ethan, did my bored mom's make up and ate bags and bags of chips and lazed around with my dad for the next few hours.
Dico & titan arrived a little late than expected. We had dinner at Leslie's tagaytay on our way home. They said intro dive was fun and easy but i have to seriously read my manual, now that made me more scared for my next week's scuba lessons.

all my other seatmates in the unit are out. one has call in sick. 2 were doing their motherly duties as today is the official 1st school day. titan said his goodbye again and will come back next week. ethan waves goodbye perfectly with matching tears falling down his cheeks. he understood that mama has to go to work but, he's also sad that he'd miss mama for the whole day.
i realized that i come to work only for these people. and they're the only essential factor why i still sit here in in this cubicle, staring at this monitor and opening piles and piles of immigration cases! i am sooo bored! i miss them, i miss my old life. i hate being an adult.
maybe only for today... maybe not.

They're stubborn, they have split personality, they're impatient and restless but, the most adorable, lively, eloquent and ms. congeniality zodiac sign ever! Happy Happy birthday to my most artistic and very comical friends, harold (june9) and val (june10). We surprised them with a small gathering of their closest colleagues, individual polly's chocolate cake , bouquet of gerberas and posters of Hugh Jackman & Brad Pitt(they're fantasy boyfriends) heee!!! And after the party, we watched X-Men: The Last Stand, i can watch it over and over again! ASTIG grabe!

(independence day long weekend)
I knew i wasn't gonna dive yet. It was an adventure though, we went there with no reservation and a 1yr old boy in the backseat.
We drove and drove and drove, there were lots and lots of rough road! We ended up here, The Maharlika Beach Resort. It was not yet fully developed, pool had no tiles and water, rate was A-ok, there was a shortage in the power for an hour(and their generator wasn't working too! the staff were apologetic and offered as a discount), their AC in the room was quite small so it wasn't enough to make the room cold, local ants ate ethan's sweets, but, over-all service was really really good! Once this resort is done, this will be a big hit to the scubadivers!
We were the only guests at that time and we were given special treatment. We felt like we owned it heee! They didn't charge us with corkage as we had barbeque over dinner.

The going solo part... happened! and it's all for realü I'm all excited, nervous and challenged too! yesterday i had my very 1st trial make-up A-L-O-N-E (carrying my name) happy happy! coz she immediately booked me and gave her 30% downpayment outright. wheee!!!!!!
On the night that i got this client's call, requesting me to do her trial for her June 2006 wedding, i got excited, cleaned my brushes and fixed my make-up till wee hours! I miss baffing my brushes!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was Easter!
But i felt like i went on a new year's break. I felt today, i had to write my new year's resolution and stuff.
Surprisingly, i missed work! The Holy week was quite a noisy break for me(so i equate noise with new year's fireworks! that is!), noisy because my lil boy is becoming to be a real toddler now, he fills the house with his excitement while walking independently and blabs around as if he knows every vocabulary in the dictionary. My dico and my hubby were endlessly discussing life, marketing, operations, strategies, guns and computer games, did i say strategies on how to defeat their oponents in the computer.
i miss having time for my own self, well i've got a huge workstation, at least in my opinion (thanks to the Canadian Government!)
i miss my MP3 player (which i get to play only in the office and during shuttle rides)and only the sounds of either my saved MP3 songs or the DJs of RX are the only sounds i hear for straight 4 hours!
I miss going over different cases and looking at different pictures of filipinos wanting desperately for a VISA!
YES I MISS WORK! and YES I HAD TOO much of a vacation!

Yes, I must confess, i'm a certified Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition addict.
...isn't that too jologs?!? i hate the characters, i hate Rustom for using the show (& the mariposa!How pathetic!) and abs for using rustom, and abs again for making it look sooo real but i guess (in my opinion) it's scripted. Or abs can do(or has done) some manipulation with the text votes. Yes I do vote, can you believe that, i'm wasting my time and money for this show.
But what can I do, I just love watching these celebrities without MAKE-UP! (now, you know what power make-up does to every artista...kaya contact me na! uy plugging!) other than seeing these people with their no make-up look, i love guessing who'd be the next evictee, i love seeing them sacrifice for charity, i want to observe whether this show has some moral lessons and most of all, after a really hard day's work, this show just de-stressed me in every little way! I find it really really entertaining!
The other sunday, on our way to the SM baby & Co. supersale, me & my brother(with little ethan over the stroller) saw a group of people gathered near la elegancia in G3. To my excitement, a group of PBB evictees ( gege, angela, & aleck)had their mini reunion. People said they were just strolling casually when people started asking for their autographs and pictures. My brother was too shy to have ethan's pictures with the gals so we ended up asking carlo, aleck's boyfriend and also an artista for a photo instead.
(by the way he looked really cute and later on i found out he is a UP grad with a degree in BS math! wow!) Aleck on the other hand, was a hottie even with her skinhead! This TV just won't give justice to her physique, she's not fat at all but very sexy! Angela was heavily made-up. And Gege, was sooo simple and only a small part of the crowd asked for her photo --->she's the one at the back of ethan with the white top.

But, I have to prioritize my role as a mother. and I want to save the friendship, afterall my passion can go on or I can choose to give it up for something more important. Right now, ethan and the friendship are the two things more important.

11 years ago, my husband now (and my 1st & last BF, should i be happy about that?!? =P) YES! technically, no ex-es, told me for the nth time that he love me and I finally replied to him with this: "Ditto" hahahah!!! so young & sooo corny!
This is US in our younger years, without the ring, without ethan and without responsibilities as spouses & parents, just simply lovers! (see how our appearances as couples evolved through the years LOL!)

"life is soooo good after all!"
St jude is really great!
I was chatting with my good friend, mia who's going to the gym after work. This very heated chat lead me to the 4th floor of our bldg, the chapel. I saw this St. Jude novena. It says for the lonely, depressed and miserable ones. I ain't any of those at the moment, but i promised to do it and finish it obediently~~~as it says, do it for 9 days.
As I was praying, i never imagined that i had soooo many urgent requests!
(The novena says, requests are to be granted within the 9 days or on the 9th day.)
On the 7th day, i realized my requests were already answered, some were even answered on the 2nd day.
I just have to listen to the lessons:---St. Jude was teaching me...and this was his way of answering my prayer.
*i have a wonderful husband
His reply when i asked him, what he'll do if I can no longer control my temper: no probs with me, i'll help you control it. yan ang downfall mo and always remember that the world is not travelled in a flat surface but with stones and much much garbage. I have always been living a happy & protected life, whenever problems arise, i freak out! Whenever this happens, i really thank God that he gave titan as my husband.
*of course, i wished for money!

For those who thought that I only started blogging this year, NOT TRUE!. I've been an LJ blogger since 2004. Aside from the fact that I've been very busy with my new role as a mother, I was advised by 2 fortunetellers (both very very good! they can actually sight some of my hidden secrets and describe our house and actually name people in my life!) to keep my life a mystery as about 9 people(girls & boys) envy my current status/life. One girl even said a spell/administer a witchcraft to pull me down (and as they say it: "kinokontra ang swerte mo!)

But with lil ethan xavier in my tummy, a hubby by my side, housewarming and house decorating, titan's 28th bday party, holiday get-together, friends' weddings, family affairs...i've got my hands sooo full that i forget all about my journal... Anyhoo, i decided to paste them here and STILL HOPING and TRYING to revive this online journal. Maybe I could start by making a list of activities done in the past months and attached photos---the list and photos would probably suffice my not telling the details and the stories behind. WHEW!!!

I received a very touching email from a member of my egroup. It was about her birthing experience on her 21 week-old baby which she lost too after almost a day of pre-term labor. I admire her and her husband's strength and faith in God. It was indeed a wake up call for me.
Eversince I came back to work from my bedrest, I've been spending countless hours in the mall and doing non-sense shopping. Honestly, there were times I forgot that I have a baby inside of me to take care of as well. Thanks to that story, I was reminded and will be constantly reminded of my limitations and my responsibilities as a mother.
(Due confidentiality reasons, I cannot paste the story here. Though, I would really want to share it with all the would-be mothers and currently pregnant since it was an enlightening story. )

I can't described how happy i am!!! I just phoned my titan and he said he's already orienting/training his staff and I can't believe it, after years of waiting, we will finally be together and that makes 3 of us (plus our little angel!) On the side, he did some shopping for my maternity wardrobe. I was deeply touched and was really surprised, i didn't mention i already bought a lot heee! ;-) (i'll cram and buy him some of his fave lacoste polo shirts) He'll send the stuff through her little pasz(my fave travel companion)! She was there to visit her big bro and her joms.
I was sooo envious that they(joms, pasz & titan) went to Sagay island and spent 3 nights in a lighthouse :(((( Well motherhood really equals to SACRIFICE. And as the months go by i'm learning new things and this lil' angel inside of me has been the best teacher of maturity and responsibility so far.
I miss my baby, can't wait to be with him... This angel is really a blessing, everything in our lives seem brighter and perfect each day.
