I finally joined 2 photo hunt sites: Wordless Wednesday and Weekend Snapshot. I am #520 and #86, respectively. I've been seeing these 2 photo hunt sites in some of my blogging buddies blogs and being the camwhore that I am, I gave in. Afterall these would be some very great fillers 2x a week!

To begin here are my firsts. I will try to post worthy photos.

Wordless Wednesday #1
this was taken by hubby while Ethan was lying down on my chest while we were watching TV, last wednesday.

some 300-yr old weekend stop

  • Mar. 3rd, 2008 at 3:23 PM
We had a very busy weekend. Yesterday, a party was held at home to celebrate hubby's and 3 other people's birthdays in the Clan, but will blog about that on a separate entry. Last Saturday, I was saddened because for the 1st time in many weeks, hubby has to go to work. Good thing as an impromptu invitation was sent on my and my son's way. It was supposed to be just a simple mall visit and some buffet treat but it turned out to be a mini tour for me and my son. It was impromptu as we were just given 5 minutes to prepare hahaha! As in biglaan lang talaga, explains my very unplanned outfit in the photos lol! The Aunts and the Uncles heard that the newly opened mall in Williamsburg is giving out HUGE discounts, so it would be nice to give it a try and probably find some good finds particularly at JC Penney. Do you still remember my very 1st trip in Sephora at Anaheim, California after our Disney Resort trip? Here was my picture the 1st time I sat foot on my newest beauty haven in this other side of the world. I was like a little kid visiting some candy store.

You all know how much I adore make-up so Sephora was really a must shop stop for me. However, from where we are there is no nearby Sephora, just ULTA. For one thing, I don't like ULTA as they don't carry as much brands as Sephora does and the artists are not as accomodating as Sephora's artists are. I was sooo happy to see SEPHORA inside the newest JC Penney in the nearby Williamsburg. Ahem, more frequent visits there.

After some little shopping, off we went to The Colonial Gardens of Williamsburg so they could show me the 300-yr-old houses in the famous Ghost Town. Virginia is known for it's history and culture. This is where the American Revolution started as well as the 1st Civil War. According to Wikipedia : Virginians were instrumental in writing of the United States Constitution. James Madison, considered the Father of the Constitution, drafted the Virginia Plan in 1787, and the Bill of Rights in 1789. Virginia ratified the Constitution on June 25, 1788. The three-fifths compromise ensured that Virginia initially had the largest bloc in the House of Representatives, which with the Virginia dynasty of presidents gave the commonwealth national importance.[42] And one of the most famous tourist spots in America is the The Colonial Williamsburg. This place is said to be a historic district of the independent city of Williamsburg, VA. The buildings and houses here were built between the years 1699-1780 (yes that old!). It is meant of to be an interpretation of a Colonial American city, exhibiting colonial houses and the American Revolutionary War. And added info from Wikipedia states that: "It was here that Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, James Monroe, James Madison, George Wythe, Peyton Randolph, and dozens more helped mold democracy for the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States". They restore all these buildings and houses to preserve the physical environment of the colonial period so tourists are educated about the origins of the idea of America, which was conceived during many decades before the American Revolution. So there, did I bore you of some American history? heheh! Here are some of our pics I and tito Etook. I wasn't really taking much photos as weather stops us from going further with our mini tour, after all the place is not fully operational till springtime on March21. Silver and Ethan were soooo inseperable, they were holding hands all throughout the tour.

March 21 came early this year

  • Feb. 9th, 2008 at 3:56 AM
According to the news, March 21 marks the 1st day of Spring! I lavet! I just can't wait for this new season! Ang bilis ng panahon, I arrived during the fall and then winter now and then spring is coming soon. We all have a long list of where-to-go-during-spring as we have been locked up in the comforts of our backyards and the malls due to the cold weather. But I guess, spring came earlier than expected. The weather lately has been turning out great, we have been opening up our windows for some fresh air. On some days, we turned off the heater. And this morning as I was getting mail from the box, I saw some dandalions blooming in the frontyard! What a nice sight. Sorry babaw, I just hate the kalbo trees and dry leaves, it doubles my homesickness moodswings.

i miss scubadiving.

  • Feb. 1st, 2008 at 1:27 AM
While hubby was watching discovery channel and it was about scubadiving, I was saddened. I badly miss scubadiving. I badly miss being under the water. I badly miss being in a complete solitude. I badly miss giggling all by myself after watching a funny creature crashed to another funny looking sea creature. And I regret not scubadiving with my closest friends Harold and Ging. Kelan kaya ako makakascubadive ulit? Some pictures of me under the water:

  • Feb. 1st, 2008 at 1:11 AM
My Las Vegas trip entry is almost done but here are a couple of photo teasers. I really had a blast during my stay there especially with my Kikay Auntie Lani and her doubly kikay daughter, Yna. I miss them, which reminds me I have to give them a call over the weekend. Ang dami kasing pics kaya nahihirapan akong i-sort.

dinotauys

  • Jan. 30th, 2008 at 4:30 PM
My son's current addiction. Eversince, he saw the Dinosaurs fossils at the National Museum of the Natural History in Washington, D.C., he got so fascinated with them that our bedtime stories include books about Dinosaurs. He started naming all the kinds of Dinosaurs even if he's having a hard time pronouncing "R" and "S" which are always in the dinosaurs species name.

why we went to D.C.

  • Jan. 26th, 2008 at 2:31 AM
As an incoming international student whose mother tounge is not English, lest taking Master's Degree, I was required to take the TOEFL test. My school needs my scores asap and the earliest I got from the entire Virginia Test Centers last December was January 18. Originally my exam venue was at Virginia Tech, Blacksburgh which was snowing really bad and was like 5 hours drive from where we are. Ten days prior to my exam date, we found an open slot in Falls Church which was the boundary of Virginia and Washington, D.C. Merely 2.5 hours drive only. My exam schedule was 10:30am but was required to report 30 minutes earlier.

A night before my TOEFL test, hubby called up to say that I should prepare baon that we could munch along the way and if the car wrecked (just in case) in the interstate we would have some lunch prepared. We overlooked this part and had no time to buy take outs that late. So since the drivers (titan's 2 uncles) requested for MY adobo, at 10:30pm (coz I had to put Ethan to sleep first) I cooked one and prepared 2 loaves of egg sandwich. Hubby and I finished packing the baon with sodas, juices, nuggets and chips for the 3 other kids at 1am. We were scheduled to leave at 5am because there was a snow storm in the east coast!

The next day, I woke up at 4am. I wanted to look my best so I need an hour for preparation (kikay kasi eh!), but was really really haggard from the lack of sleep. (READ: pictures) We hit the road at exactly 5am, it was freezing!

Everyone was groggy except for Ethan who was wide awake! Then around 7am, we passed by some snow on the street, it was a 1st time for Ethan and me to see one. So we had a pitstop. Titan made some snowball for Ethan and look at his reaction lol!

Then we reached Stratford University, Falls Church (where my exam venue is) at exactly 8:30am. We were 2 hours earlier. You know kids, as soon as they saw snow, they wanted out of the car, so the adults obliged. I was too worried Ethan might get sick that we really bundled him up. Di ko nga kinaya ang lamig because I got the wrong leather jacket! At one point, Ethan felt the need to pee, he doesn't wear diapers anymore and he insisted doing it where he was, he was too excited to leave the snow scene. So he pulled down his pants and peed on the snow. It was funny, but I won't post the pics here. haha!

Then at about 9:30am, I went inside the building and they all left for Washington, D.C., some 30 minutes more driving from Falls Church. That had been Titan's 1st time to fully babysat Ethan on his own. I was worried. At the exam classroom, I met this girl from Panama who was really loud telling me stories I don't really care but we ended up exchanging numbers anyways. She was nice though haha. I was sleepy the entire exam and I would describe TOEFL test as "Hindi Madali, Hindi rin Mahirap" type of exam. It definitely was a college level english exam. I was giggling at the speaking part coz we were all talking at the same time and some were speaking very loud. The exam was really tiring especially if you lack some sleep. I almost fell asleep in the reading part, hay naku! While I was gruelling the very loooong exam, my boys and the rest of them were happily doing photo ops and strolling the stretch of Washington D.C. Tito Vernon even managed to send me thru MMS a photo of them infront of the Whitehouse while I was taking the test, mang-ingit daw ba! :-(.

At exactly 2:00pm, I was done with my exam and I was the 3rd one who finished. I left the room and gave Tito Vernon a call to pick me up. To my surprise, he was already waiting for me at the lobby since 1pm. He gladly drove back alone to pick me up and left the rest of the group so no time will be wasted. On my way down in the Elevator, a black man around his mid 20s was hitting on me. As in pang limang encounter ko na sa black iyan, they have this thing on me. I wonder what. He asked me how the test was, where I leave and if there's anything I need just give him a call and he even asked me if he could drove me back to my place. I politely answered him, and asked when the test result will be out and he said, I worked for strayer and not TOEFL. hehehe pahiya sya. That ends our small talk. As soon as I entered the car, Tito Vernon kept telling stories I cannot comprehend because the test was just too draining and tiring. All I wanted to do was sleep and eat. Suddenly I paid attention to what he was saying when he told me that Ethan will be seen on ESPN. But he didn't give me the details and just told me to ask Titan. I can't wait to see the both of them, I miss my son agad, I was just away from him for 4 hours, di na ako sanay! Then, we reached Washington D.C. and I was surprised to see Ethan wearing the scarf (which I both from Terranova in Pinas hahah!), he was sooo terribly cute, no wonder those ESPN agents noticed him. He gave me a big smile from across the street and kept shouting "mommy mommy".

Washington, D.C. is so posh, so cosmopolitan yet historical! People dressed very differently. I was as if watching a fashion show of trenchcoats, jackets, bags and boots! Name the brands and they're wearing them. Titan kept telling me that he wants to live there, me either. There are a lot of Embassies and Foreign Institutions there where I'd like to be employed at. (cross fingers!) and they say it's not as crowded and dirty compared to NY.

It was getting late and we had to be hitting the road early to avoid traffic and the snow storm. So all that's left for me to roam were the Smithsonian Museums and Parks, National Museum of the Natural History (which was really awesome), A photo op at the National Monument, National Capitol and Supreme Court and we passed by Pentagon and the White House but didn't take pictures because parking was hard and we didn't find any. I'll post more photos at my Multiply Site tomorrow but for now, here are some for your viewing pleasure.

Then we left at 6pm. On the way home, Titan told me about the ESPN Story. An agent noticed Ethan and asked his dad if they could take some photos and video clip of him crossing the street on his own. They found him really cute and energetic, it would be part of a segment's soft opening clip. Of course, the dad was excited, he obliged and the little boy crossed the street on his own, he was running though. The agents said it was alright as they would make it look like spontaneous. With Titan's excitement, he failed to ask when this will be shown. Ang saya di ba! In return, Ethan was given a small NASA airplane as a token.
There you go, I hope I didn't bore you. Las Vegas Trip kwento na lang ang backlog ko sa travel entries. Yahoo!

8 Things I am Grateful For.

  • Jan. 24th, 2008 at 10:45 PM

I was tagged by Jane. It's so hard to think of only 8 things to be grateful for as there are a lot I can think of. But I'll try to narrow them down to the top 8 things that popped in my head:

1.) First off, I'm grateful for Jane for tagging me into this. Because like her, I tend to overlook some of my blessings and gets whiny most of the time hahah! How ungrateful! This tag would somehow remind me of how lucky I am now, to start counting my blessings and just stop complaining and worrying.

2.) I'm grateful for my family, my mom, my dad and my two brothers, my loving in-laws, husband and son. I know I can always count on them when everything else turn down on me. I'm really really grateful for such loving and beautiful family.

3.) I'd like to cite my husband solely. I am grateful for him coming into my life. He has given me sooo many things and made me happy all the time. Despite my lack of maturity, he has always been patient of me. He thinks of me more than himself and more than anyone and anything else. Eventhough he's tired from work, I am the one who gets to be pampered at night with massage and the likes. Spoiled to death talaga ako.

4.) I am grateful for my friends. They keep me both insane and sane. I'm blessed with a big circle of real good friends. My bestfriend Tetet and Joanne, my MG family with 3 adorable gay friends whom I spent 7 happy and crazy years at the Canadian Embassy (chingkee, mia, val, mishel, flery, ging, harold, jasper and mother michelle), my ultimate chikadora friends (wifespeakers), my gorgeous highschool friends (farah, stelz, lei, jetjet, cheche, etc... they're just too many to mention), my fab college friends (chelle, may and all those whom I still keep in touch), closest friends whom I can talk anything and everything under the sun(like joy, cheryl, irma, kathy, icee friends), my hubby's buddies (kirl, gio, rommel, jeno, andeng, etc...), all my other friends whom I cannot include in any of the categories mentioned,  and my blogging buddies, you know who you are, you make blogging sooo muh fun!

5.) I am grateful for having able to indulge in one extreme hobby, that of scubadiving and for the places I've seen and travelled (Hongkong, China, Thailand, Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Anilao, Subic, Bicol, Mount Banahaw, L.A., Napa Valley, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Philly, Virginia, Washington D.C. etc...). I'm still looking forward to spending some time with my bestfriend, Tetet in Canada, a 2nd honeymoon with my hubby in Europe, a shopping adventure with my MG family in Vietnam and Singapore and backpack with them in Palawan, skinny dip in Maldives with all my crazy friends I've mentioned in #4, Surprising my Son and his future sibling by bringing him to all the Disneylands in the World before he turns 12, Explore Japan, Australia, Johannesburg, South Africa and Alaska with my folks and brothers.

6.) I am grateful for my skill and self-taught talent in Make-Up, I find ultimate joy enhancing people's features and showing my artistic side at photoshoots.

7.) I am grateful for this opportunity to live in a different country. It was a big risk and the transition was hard, we are still on the process of being fully stable but I am glad to be at this state now. I have learned so much from this move and my small young family has never been this close and strong. Ika nga ni KC Concepcion on her From Paris to Pinas show, never ever allow yourself to be too comfortable at one place, because when you forego of all the conveniences in your life, that's when you challenge yourself, you mature, you grow, you improve, and that's where you learn who you truly are. Keep moving, keep improving. Change is always good. When things and place become very convenient for you, there is definitely no room for growth.

8.) I am grateful for my faith. I am glad that I was brought up to believe on heaven and hell. I am extremely blessed for the big man up there who gave us an adorable son and for always being there for me 24/7.

I am tagging meeya, jen, ela, joy, juliet, cynch, cata, cez, jacqui, weng, and denoy.

luxury villas

  • Jan. 24th, 2008 at 4:22 PM
My husband's ultimate dreams include owning a beach resort much more located in the Bahamas, Carribean and Maldives! Hahahah! Dream on! We are such beach lovers. Yearly, we go out of town and explore the nicest beaches in the Philippines. And as I remember, we brought our son to a local beach on his 8th month and he too loves the water and the sun. I love the feel of sand on my feet and my husband just wants to feast on wine and grilled chops while hearing the waves and looking at the serene that nature brings. I was on my wishful thinking mood and surf the net on the finest luxury villas in the Carribean Island here: http://www.caretbay.com/luxuryvilla-sitemap.php. Look what I saw, St Thomas Villa Rental! It's really pure luxury vacation! I've checked their rates and as I may say, it's quite reasonable for the perfect vacation and privacy you've been longing. The Villa Nicoletta has 3 decks/balconies which offer a really breathtaking views. Amenities include a private pool, outdoor kitchen, TIKI bar, T.V. and comfy outdoor furniture. My husband and I dream of retiring early and explore beaches as such, and we're starting by working our ass hard enough to be able to retire at an early age. We will definitely have a blast in our retirement days and Carribean is one of our must-see places!

as usual

  • Jan. 23rd, 2008 at 2:17 PM
I am flooded with OPPS and housechores. And my son has been bugging me for 3 hours now to make his firetruck fly, cross a single string and connect it to the window! How in the world will I do that? Having a boy as your child is really challenging, it would be easier to play dolls and stuffed toys! Paid blogging could be time consuming sometimes, not that I'm complaining since the pay is really rewarding to think that I'm only turning 3 months with this easy-money-racket! The usual thing that I would do before I get flooded with OPPS is make a checklist of internet things to do, so here goes: (I badly need to finish them all tonight or by dawn tomorrow haha!)

1) Finish my travel entries, before we head off to another travelling spree! (Las Vegas & Washington D.C.
2.) Updates on Ethan as he turned 2.8yrs old.
3.) Send off dinners, surprises pictures & videos!
4.) Update all my network and photo sites.
5.) Catch up on memes.

and today is wednesday which means bloghopping day for me. I need to set aside only one day a week for bloghopping otherwise I won't be able to finish all my OPPS! See you!

I'm back!

  • Jan. 18th, 2008 at 10:45 PM
We're back from my TOEFL test and our quick Washington, D.C. detour trip. I've got sooo many stories to tell and photos to show. Ethan had a blast throwing snow balls to his aunts and my husband just heart Washington D.C. But I'm really tired, fatigued and sleepy now. I'll be just wrapping up 2 more opps and i'm off to hit the sack. Just a little teaser from our trip, Ethan was taken a couple of photos and a video clip by an ESPN agent while strolling along Washington. They find him really cute with that little brightly colored scarf on him and his quirkiness and energy is so apt with their new segment. I'm hoping to see him on international TV soon. yahoo!

hiatus kuno!

  • Jan. 14th, 2008 at 11:15 PM
Being unable to blog for 2 days is already on hiatus mode for me, hahah! Ganon na ako ka attach sa blog ko LOL! Which means, I haven't been on internet in those days (If I was, only for some important reasons and for a very minute time). I have been ignoring opps and there were actually opps that expired on me, sayang huhuhu! In those days that I was gone, I almost burned the house (that's another blog entry), watching ANTM (i wish natasha won!) and Project Runway (i really hate this season's contestants) I have been delightfully and religiously writing on my Beloved Journal, setting goals with my husband, straightening up my priorities and crammingly preparing for my TOEFL test. Hubby bought me this thick toefl for the dummies book with some CDs for online practice tests which he commanded me to complete over the weekend. haha! I was really guarded para akong na house arrest! So there, I'm back to my usual routine again and will be back on hiatus mode by friday for my toefl test (wish me luck!) and over the weekend, for our DC trip (cross fingers! I hope there aren't any snow hazzard news so we'd likely pushthrough with our plan, otherwise we'll go home straight after my test).

when it rains, it pours

  • Jan. 8th, 2008 at 10:36 PM
It is indeed raining opps! Sana tuloy tuloy na! I hit my track record by posting almost 20 entries in 1 single day. Can you believe that? hahahha! And another thing, I almost earned my total December's paidblogging earnings in just a week this January! Napakaganda ng simula ng taon, pwera usog. Paidblogging is really fun, aside from the money matters, I have been learning a lot of information and have been writing entries really fast so I'd be able to grab as many opps as I can. Plus of course, (humility aside) I think my writing skills are improving, just right in time for my TOEFL test.

But before my blog gets flooded with opps, I am writing a new to do list for myself:
1) Again, my VERY MUCH delayed Vegas Trip entry.
2.) Updates on Ethan as he turned 2.8yrs old.
3.) Send off dinners, surprises pictures & videos, finally I am ready to post them *).
4.) Update all my network sites.

I encourage everyone who breathe, sleep and heart blogging to join the big bandwagon of paidblogging. It is very rewarding and totally worth it. Before I end this "short" filler, please try to visit my detour site also, there has been some confusion so here are the proper links:
ORIGINAL BLOG is http://em.wifespeaks.com or http://www.purpleism.livejournal.com
DETOUR BLOG is http://somethingpurpledetour.blogspot.com

If you have been checking my site using the wifespeaks.com url, all the sites that link to that will not be shown in the search field (only the http://em.wifespeaks.com) unless you look at the bottom left of your Internet Explorer page. FYI. toodles.

Today, we tagged along tita babes' business trip to Virginia Beach. It was my 1st time there but since it was soooo hot! (how erratic talaga ng weather dito!) we just passed by the main beach and didn't get of the car. We proceeded to tita babes meeting while Ethan and I were busy throwing dimes in the wishing fountain downstairs. Here are some of the photos we took before we parted with Titan. The sun was too high!

Remember my sadness when Titan and I decided not to go with the whole family for their Christmas Celebration in New York which I talked about here? Well, guess what? They are cancelling the trip and we are all celebrating Christmas together, again all 5 of titan's extended families. Yahoo! They said, if we're not coming, they won't pushthrough with the trip. They'll probably wait for titan's vacation so we could go with them. So I am still seeing New York soon!

I got my 2nd p_ _ _c_ _ _ _ _ today! More yahoo!

We are invited at Marriot's Christmas Lunch tomorrow, yey! yey!

happy day today.

  • Dec. 5th, 2007 at 10:51 PM
4 wonderful things happened to me today:

1st, I received my very 1st Christmas Card from none other than my bossom friend, Mia. Thanks dearie lalo ko namiss ang MG family hay naku! I was sooo delighted to see my name in the mailbox. At this time of the year, I remembered shopping endlessly in Makati after every working day for gifts to my embassy officemates, lahat iyan wala akong pinapalampas, from the Program Manager to the cleaners. Kahit simple lang just a simple token of appreciation and for making work sooo much fun.

2nd, I withdrew and deposited my 1st few paidblogging earnings! Yipee yipee! I'm sooo proud of what I've earned here.
3rd, I finished the 1st step in reaching what I call "my life-changing career", so help me pray about it. Surprise muna, baka maudlot. All of you will be the 1st to know. So for now, help me pray for whatever it is and I'll continue to cross my fingers.
and Lastly, 4th, I got my very 1st p--c----- from my part-time j-- which I talk about HERE

happy happy. joy joy.

boohoo!

  • Dec. 3rd, 2007 at 4:26 PM
Bad bad bad news!

I am in contact with one of the paidblogging sites I joined. I was wondering why I don't receive as much opps as my blogging buddies do and this was their reply: (and so I thought my page rank was low, nah! i was wrong! =()

Hi emillie, There could be many reasons for this. The first being that a great deal of our advertisers segment out users with LiveJournal accounts. The second could be if the adv. is segmenting for Alexa, because you have a LJ blog you have no Alexa score. We try to put out opps that have as little restrictions as possible yet, there are not many that come our way. We have many more coming out in the next few days though, Just keep checking back in and see what pops up. Hope this helps. Scott

Now, I'm thinking of creating another blogsite in blogspot which I don't want to as I've got my hands full with other things and it would be hard to maintain two accounts. But if it would mean more paid blogging moolah, why not? Let's see.

Another bad news is: Two weeks ago, Titan's family announced that we're spending christmas in New York (dec22-29), they're going to use their time sharing in one of the hotels there. I was really excited but when Titan and I talked about this last night, we decided not to go. He's barely new in his job and although he has vacation leaves, he knows that it's the busiest time of the business and don't want his boss to be left behind. And of course, we have to save more money for our future crib. So, I guess I'll have my white Christmas here in Virginia.

priorities, priorities.

A Thanksgiving Entry

  • Dec. 1st, 2007 at 3:58 PM
My very 1st Thanksgiving celebration went really great. With families and some cooking to do, it was just perfect! I woke up really early as I was in-charge to cook 2 of the main dishes: Seafood Paella and of course my specialty, Tom Yum! It's a tough job as I will cook for 5 extended families of Titan, the last count was 21 people! I never cooked for that many people in my entire cuisine life. They were all excited as this would be the 1st time they would have a non-american meal in their thanksgiving table. Most of the dishes they usually cook were American dishes as Thanksgiving are for Americans daw! labo! Anyhow, tita babes drove me to the nearest Asian market as we forgot to buy tomato paste for my Paella the day before. Ethan and Titan were still asleep so I had a good "ME" time for the 1st time. Oh how I love Virginia, it was the very 1st time I get to appreciate what scenery I see on the rode. Tita was telling me that sometimes when she gets homesick, she would just drive around and get in touch with nature, of course the manicured loans and trees are sooo sooo far from what we have back home in Pinas.

Anyways, going back, as soon we returned home I started my butt off in the kitchen as these 2 dishes are very mabusisi. Only to find out that Ethan was crying and looking for me, so I head up the room and pass him on to his baba. Tita babes and I started cooking at 11noon and finished about 6 dishes in a span of 4 hours, just in time when the Shorts Family were all hungry and ready to feast. Everyone else came and we were ready by 4pm for our thanksgiving prayer. We chatted and played with the kids, watched a couple of DVDs and had some photo ops. During the mini chat with the titas, I found out that my favorite tutor back in gradeschool is their 1st cousin and is now in Ohio! And my suitor in Highschool whom I almost chose to be my Prom date over Titan is their 2nd cousin! How small the world really is! We were all done by around 8pm and had to put Ethan to sleep as his Dad is soo excited to line up for the BIG BLACK FRIDAY SALE! The rest of the oldies stayed late watching more dvds over some wine. Here are some photos I took from my cam, still waiting for titan's cousin Candace to email the whole thing as I was too busy feeding Ethan and myself LOL:;

holiday dazzle no more (edited)

  • Nov. 30th, 2007 at 8:48 AM
We were supposed to watch and bring Ethan and his 4-year old cousin tonight after our work at the Holiday Dazzle in Mariott. It will be his 1st time to watch the lighting of a giant christmas tree, however he's up with a bad fever =(. I opted to take off from work so he could rest some more. Boohoo, I'm so excited about this event and even thought of our outfits days ahead already. Maybe next year or next event.

(insertion today, dec1)
hahaha! tita was telling me last night that it was good that we didn't bring Ethan to the Holiday Dazzle event as it was freaking cold last night @ 1degree! They didn't even get out of the car anymore. Good for us and I thought we missed a lot.

3 opps expired and 1 was grabbed! badbabdbad. All I did was edit my Facebook Profile! It is sooo sooo much funner so go shift and leave your friendster accounts LOL! (who apparently is adding new apps in their system too, gaya-gaya puto maya!). Ethan also made some online shopping and guess what was his christmas wish for Santa! A Leapfrog Clickstarter!

and as soon as his baba arrived from work, he kept shouting, "baba buy wii, buy computer!" LOL!

I Have a loooong list to blog on today so watch out.

BON WEEKEND EVERYONE! Toodles.

2nd Honeymoon

  • Nov. 29th, 2007 at 3:16 PM
Titan would often asks me when do I want to have our 2nd child? I usually answer in the next zillion years LOL! If Ethan was your son, you'll be okay with 1 child, I tell you he's really a handful lil kiddo! But of course, who wouldn't want more kids? So it is more likely when Ethan turned his 5th or 7th year, I don't know why but I think and I know that would be ideal for us. We are still adjusting with our new set-up now and haven't reached the full stability yet. By that time, Titan and I could have our 2nd honeymoon and we could leave Ethan with our folks.

I have always dreamt of spending our 2nd Honeymoon in Europe. Particularly, Paris, Italy's Milan and Venice, Rome and Switzerland! As early as now I have been surfing for cheap ways to get there as you know Europe is one expensive destination. While surfing I found this site where you could find cheaper alternatives to the more known hotels in Europe

It would be romantic to stay in those quaint hotels in Italy and visit Venice's famous monuments and the sistene chapel. I fell in love in those Gondola Rides when I visited The Venetian Hotel in Vegas, how much more when I see and ride the real thing! I have also found out that other than this, we could go sightseeing in Milan as there are so many places to go and a lot of things to do in Milan. We could visit the Duomo and Stadio Giusseppe Meazza

Included in my list would also be Rome, a visit to the Vatican, the Coliseum and the Trevi Fountain would be a nice part of our itinerary. I really wish we could find stability around those time, have this grand vacation we deserve, and visit this other side of the world as a couple only and rekindle everything we had during our 1st honeymoon *).

working mom with a busier toddler

  • Nov. 28th, 2007 at 1:30 AM
You might be wondering why I have been posting more than 3 entries a day for the past 2 days. It is because I have been catching up on my blog and of course on paid blogging since I can no longer stay late at night blogging because Yesterday, I started work officially. I'm no longer a bum-mum LOL!. If you personally know me, I'm not the type of woman who's fond of asking money from anyone, I'm really good at earning my own money (tawag nila sa akin rakista!), but hubby insists on giving me allowances, paying my bills and credit cards, eh di pagbigyan, recently na lang ako natutong magpabili sa kanya, hence my laptop. But I still find ultimate joy and fullfilment in earning my own money, ewan ko ba ganon lang talaga ako. So when this job opportunity came, I never had a 2nd thought even if it means bringing with me at work the most malikot toddler I know, my son. It really is no biggie work since I get to work only 3-4 days a week (schedule depends on me), 9-6pm. Titan's family has a corporation of dry cleaning, bridal and alterations business here in Virginia and my job is to man one of their satellite shops in the more urban location, the City Center. As in sosyal ang mga kliyente, they said even the Mayor and some commissioners are clients of that specific shop. All I have to do is receive the orders and handle some complaints LOL! (i managed 2 complaints on my 1st day)They have a full staff who are doing the actual job and the branch that is assign to me is not that busy, I had about 6-8 clients yesterday.

So on my 1st day, yesterday, I woke up early, dressed up, put on my make-up (i so miss this part in my life!), decided to wear boots or flats and packed Ethan's Hi-C juice, Nutella Sandwich, Fish and Chips, and Nutter Butter Cookies. I was all set and excited! The 1st thing I did, while still being oriented by Tito Vernon, I checked if there is a wifi spot in the store, luckily there is hahaha! I can continue paid blogging there, double racket! Then I checked out the nearby shops and the facade of the store, aba sosyal talaga, people are all dressed up! Ethan, as usual was a handful and I looked like a shipwreck at the end of the day not because of work but because of him, but I know he'll get used to the place and he'll be back to his own self. As for me, I'm not touching a single penny of what I will earn from that new job (oowwws!), really, I promised myself to really save this time.

It's been 9 months since I resigned from my Embassy job and I really do miss getting up early and dressing up for work. I can't wait for winter to officially set in so I could dress up hahaha! Here are some photos I took of my and my son's 2nd home.
